Logrus

Logrus Dangers – Logrus has a slightly different feel and capability in this campaign then in the Amber game book. A constant danger of the Logrus is the insanity it can inflict. It warps reality sometimes in uncontrollable ways. When the Logrus is initially gained it almost always drives the new Initiate insane for a period of time. This insanity is never truly healed though one ca**n recover from it sufficiently to function like they once did. The insanity seldom manifest itself except when exhausted or mentally overwhelmed.

Through calling up the Sign of the Logrus an Initiate can create a defense against other powers. It may even provide a defense against some environmental effects. This defense, like most, is tiring over time.

SUMMON LOGRUS TENDRIL
WITHIN PRESENCE USE 5
This allows an Initiate to summon the Sign of the Logrus and perform various actions by reaching into it then both mentally and physically manipulating it. This allows the creation of Tendrils that can manifest themselves, mentally, physically or a mixture of both. At this level the Tendrils may not extend through shadow barriers but can perform actions within that shadow. They may be used for mental contact or purely physical to ward off blows or physical objects without initiating mental contact.

The Initiate may now weave their Tendrils into a focus lens that reveals information through it. This view shows magical energies, powers and other energies to the user.

BLACK THREAD 10
The Black Threads are extensions of the Logrus that transverse shadow. The creator has the choice of allowing others to join them on the thread or making it exclusive. The thread creates a pathway along which the character can glide. The Logrus user throws a Thread outwards and steps upon it, allowing them to be pulled along it.
Directing the Black Thread requires a great deal of knowledge and a firm image of the target. Finding a person or place requires an intimate, specific knowledge of them, though using a Trump or sorcerous means may augment this process. Traveling to unknown areas is haphazard prospect. Though using Tendrils to pull oneself through shadow is possible, piercing the shadow barriers can be traumatic event. The Black Thread creates a weak point in shadow that lessens or removes that trauma.

SUMMON PRIMAL CHAOS 5
Primal Chaos may be summoned, in relatively small quantities, even at basic Logrus ability. Primal Chaos is a manifestation of the Logrus, representing the existence of all possibilities at once. This phenomenon is incredibly difficult to manifest, control and direct. As such its effects on reality can be manipulated at the Advanced levels of Logrus Mastery.

SUMMON/CONTROL CHAOS CREATURE 5
The Logrus Master can send forth their Tendrils or sometimes resonate the Sign of the Logrus to attract or summon demons and other creatures native to Chaos and other shadows who seem attuned to the Logrus, The Tendrils are also used to communicate and sometimes hold at bay the creatures while services are negotiated.

SUMMON/CONTROL LOGRUS SERVANT 5
A Logrus Master can Summon a Tendril and separate it from the Logrus to create a Logrus Servant. The servant has a part of the Logrus and obeys the creator exclusively. Like some other powers this creature carries a part of its creator with it. They can be controlled at a distance if they remain on a thread or may act independently as directed by the creator. They may be reabsorbed once reunited with their creator, imparting their knowledge / experiences to its creator.

MANIPULATE SHADOW 5
A Logrus Master can summon the Sign of the Logrus forming a Lens for Logrus sight and using Logrus Tendrils to manipulate a shadow. They can shift the laws that govern a shadow or shape it as they desire.

MANIPULATE PRIMAL CHAOS 5
This allows the Master to, once summoned, control to some extent the Primal Chaos they summoned. They can force things out of the boiling Chaos, they can control the direction of the Chaos including its expansion. They can only make gross changes since this power is still beyond any sort of complete control.
